PyroCore technology uses a transformative process called pyrolysis which exposes waste to oxygen-free, high temperatures and decomposes it into small volumes of char.
The char captures carbon along with recoverable by-products such as metals, glass, compounds, or biochar. The unlocked thermal energy can then be used for a range of utility applications for an environmentally-friendly circular solution to problematic waste streams.
Once shredded, waste enters a primary unit before moving into a waste hopper. The hopper then deposits designated waste volumes into the pyrolysis chamber.
Constantly rotating, the pyrolysis chamber pushes the waste along its length. Meanwhile, indirect heat is applied to the waste, reducing it to a thermally decomposed solid char and raw synthesis gas.
Whatever leftover waste material collects in the char separator can be recovered as a by-product or aggregate.
Although the unit requires auxiliary fuel to kickstart the process, once synthetic gas from the pyrolysis section is oxidised, a significant amount of thermal energy is generated.
For business users, this means that not only is there no need for an external fuel source, but the unit becomes self-sustaining.
Moreover, residual energy that exits the unit as heat can be used for multiple applications, including hot water, heating, chilling, water desalination, and steam generation.
