The sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be banned in the UK. There’s never been a better time to explore electric vehicles.
At Tariff.com, we know that every business will have different EV charging requirements. That’s why were offer a range of charging solutions to help your electric vehicles get from A to B.
we’re serious about electric vehicles, we need more charging infrastructure. The good news? EVs are on the rise and so are EV charging points.
In the UK, there are currently over 32,000 charging points across 20,000 charging locations. That means there are more charging points than petrol stations!
Let’s take a closer look at the charging points across the UK.
Traditional vehicles are a huge source of air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Switching to electric cars is a great way for your business to protect our health and the planet.
When paired with green energy such as solar and wind, electric cars can significantly reduce air pollution and your carbon footprint.
Your EV charging points can be personalised with your company branding, so your customers and employees know that your business is doing its bit for the environment.
Once installed, there’s also the possibility of commercialising your charging ports, opening them up for public use on a pay-per-charge basis and creating an extra source of revenue for your business.
If you want to qualify for work charging installation, you must meet the following criteria:
The Workplace Charging Scheme or WCS is aimed at encouraging UK businesses to use Electric Vehicles across their business and to offer more vehicle charging points for visitors and employees that already use EVs.
To support businesses with the installation costs, the Office for Low Emissions Vehicles (OZEV) offers a qualifying grant scheme that covers 75% of funding costs or a maximum value of £350 per socket for up to 40 charging points for businesses.
If you’re interested in installing EV charging points in your business, here’s how you can apply to the WCS.
At Tariff.com we have a wide range of charging points to best suit your business requirements.
We provide support from the Government Workplace Charging Scheme. Offering your business £500 per socket to install EV charging points.
