Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water is the not-for-profit water company responsible for supplying drinking water and managing wastewater for most of Wales and parts of western England that border Wales. Unlike England (which opened to competition in 2017) and Scotland (deregulated since 2008), the Welsh Government chose to retain Welsh Water as the monopoly supplier for most business premises.
