Running from Saturday 27- Sunday 5 November, national tree week is the UK’s biggest celebration of trees and all they do for us and the planet.
To celebrate this, we’re looking back at the time the Tariff team went tree planting. For many businesses, planting trees is a great way of offsetting carbon emissions; trees take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Whilst not every business can plant trees themselves, supporting green projects such as tree planting can form part of your business’s net-zero strategy.
At Tariff.com, we’re all about empowering businesses to do their bit for the environment. Whilst we normally get our accredited partners to plant and manage the trees on our behalf, we decided to get more involved first-hand. That’s why we decided to spend a sunny afternoon planting trees. We joined forces with the Woodland Trust who were on hand to demonstrate how to plant the saplings, as well as provide extra equipment and a much-needed sugar boost to keep us going.
Throughout the afternoon, we managed to plant an impressive 100 trees. To further support the charity in the amazing work they do for the environment and our community, we also made a sizable donation to the charity, which will support them in planting over 400 trees across various projects on the island.
We’re thrilled to have had the chance to work with such an amazing charity and to give back to our environment and our community. If you’d like to find out more about the Woodland Trust and the excellent work they do, why not visit their website here.
